August 25, 2026, Community Meeting Proposed Groundwater

Sustainability Fee

The Tule East Groundwater Sustainability Agency ("TEGSA") is the exclusive Groundwater Sustainability Agency for its jurisdiction within the Tule Subbasin, in Tulare County. TEGSA is one of several agencies in the Subbasin and coordinates with the others under a single, shared Groundwater Sustainability Plan.

TEGSA was formed under California's Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA), which assigns responsibility for groundwater management to local agencies rather than the State. Its role is to support the long-term sustainability of groundwater within its jurisdiction.

The Tule Subbasin is managed by multiple Groundwater Sustainability Agencies coordinating under a shared Groundwater Sustainability Plan.

TEGSA's jurisdiction is shown in orange.
